Lenovo First Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2 Announced

Looking for Windows 8-powered tablet? This is good news for you that Lenovo just announced its first tablet runs Windows 8 operating system namely ThinkPad Tablet 2.
The company said that ThinkPad Tablet 2 is a result from collaboration between Lenovo, Microsoft and Intel – offering incredible hardware and software to give consumers a great device for office, home or travel. The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is also aimed to offering companies and IT managers the oversight they need to help secure and manage their company’s networks and data.

There is no detail information regarding to the specification of this ThinkPad Tablet 2. The press release just said the tablet will sport 10.1-inch HD screen display with 8-megapixel rear-camera while 2-megapixel camera on the front. Powered by upcoming Intel Atom processor and Windows 8 Pro operating system, the 9.8 mm ThinkPad Tablet 2 will also feature 3G and 4G capabilities, NFC, fingerprint reader, HDMI port, USB port, an optional digitizer and pen. Optional keyboard and dock will be also available.
Unfortunately there is no word on price and exact release date. But the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is expected to be available when Windows 8 launches in October. So stay tuned for more updates.
